MEET OUR STAFF
Ms. Peggy Green
Ms. Peggy has 16 years background in preschool and daycare. She has also been the Principal of a private school for 14 years.
She has taught preschool through eighth grade and looks forward to continuing in the care and education of young children.
Each child is an important individual. For them to feel loved, appreciated and respected is a priority. All our teachers are a part of Running Start because they enjoy working with children. We continue each year to give our best to each child.
Originally from Iran, Terri taught Kindergarten for 16 years. After coming to America, she went to City College to learn English as a second language. The counselor suggested that Ms. Terry take Early Childhood Education classes and the rest is history.
Ms. Terri has become the best two-year-old teacher I have ever been acquainted with. She loves these children, and it is apparent in her greetings of each child. They hear her excitement and joy in seeing them come in the school doors. They readily give hugs and feel comfortable and safe with Ms. Terri.
She is constantly looking out for their welfare. She gathers them around her in the circle time, and helps each one individually.
Miss Catherine worked at a mental health shelter for five years as a shelter worker and started volunteering at RSP in December 2012. She joined RSP officially in March 2013 as a teacher as she completed her ECE units.
Miss Catherine loves and enjoys working with children and believes they are a blessing and gift from God. She is very focused on teaching and supervising her students. Some of her favorite activities are teaching time and outdoor play.
She is involved with her church and serves on the women’s ministry board. She enjoys walking and going on fun trips with her mom and friends.
Mrs. Kathy Hayes
Teacher, Three & Four-Year-Olds
Kathy Hayes is our newest staff member but she is not new to teaching children. She taught Kindergarten in Brazil for many years as well as Preschool. She has also taught Kindergarten the last few years in Florida.
She and her husband are the new pastors at Community Church of God. They both believe that children need a good environment with love, kindness, respect and great teachers. They have three children of their own and are expecting their first grandchild.
Her expertise at Running Start will be a great asset.
Ms. Danielle was a nanny before working at Running Start. She then decided that Running Start Preschool would be a great place to work after a family friend related how much fun her children had at RSP.
She loves working with children and thought that preschool was a good fit for her.
She enjoys the staff and the interaction with the children. She likes helping each child to grow. She realizes how much they look up to teachers and wants to be the best example she can be.
